TEWKSBURY - Peter Melski, age 64, passed away surrounded by his family on June 3rd after a brief and sudden illness.
Peter was born in Dorchester to the late Peter Melski and Anne (Supran) Melski in October of 1953. He grew up in Dorchester and attended Don Bosco in 1967, and served as an alter boy at St Brendan's Church during his youth.
Peter enjoyed being on the ocean and earned his U.S.C.G License. As a hobby he chartered his boats for fishing and diving for over a decade. In more recent times in his retirement, Peter enjoyed a quiet life at home taking care of his buddy Dexter.
Peter leaves behind his beloved wife Ellen Mary (Campbell) with whom he celebrated 42 years together. Besides his wife he leaves behind his beloved daughter Lauren Marie Melski of Tewksbury. He also leaves behind his sister Joanne Hunter of Wareham, as well as many nieces and nephews and over a dozen great nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visiting Hours Friday, June 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts., (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, June 9, at 11:30 a.m. in St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., (Rte. 38) Tewksbury.
