The Bowns Family
October 18, 2009
Dear Kathleen,
Words do not do justice to your loss. Rob was a good boy who I was able to watch grow into a delightful young man. He was always a gentleman with a smile that just mandated a smile in return. As I think of Rob, I can not help but believe that he touhed more people, made them smile, made them feel better than many people ever do. Rob made a difference in peoples lives, including Doc, Dorian and myself.

We were so saddened to learn of the death of Rob who was a most talented young man. He brought humor and talent to the Showstoppers Orchestra.
With love and prayers,

Mrs Arsenault,
I doubt any words I say can dull the pain you feel. My hope is that you find comfort in the many memories you have of your son. He was a giant amoung men in so many ways. I once read that people you meet in your youth have the greatest impact on who you become. I am so grateful Rob was part of my youth. When I think of him, which I will often, I will think of his passion! I will think of his humor, wow was he funny. I will think of is goodness for people. In high school when it was easy to distance yourself from those with different interest,Rob took the high road. He was friends with everyone! I will think of his talent. Raw, pure musical talent. He was gifted! Above all I will think of how genuine he was. Unlike anyone else I have ever known. My heart truly breaks for you and your family. Remember he is with you always. I feel in so many ways I was fortunate to meet my friend in this life. He will be missed often and thought of fondly always.
Wishing you comfort

My Bobby,
You were such a special child. So talented, so intelligent, so personable and most of all so kind. You had a gift that allowed you to never hate and only love. I was always so proud of you. My memories of you will live on forever in my heart and soul. Your soft touch from your tiny hands that grew big, your smile and charm that turned me into a puddle, your beautiful voice that made my heart beat like a drum and your wit and humor that made me laugh until my belly hurt. In your memory, I will do my best to continue the fight for answers. I wish that I could have eased your pain. I know Uncle Ted is taking care of you for me now. "I Hope You Dance".
Love always and forever,
Ma Duke

I don't know what to say except that I'm going to miss you so much. We had lost touch after I left Tyngsboro but found each other again just over a year ago. I was so happy that it was you, and I could talk to you again. You would always answer my messages and make me smile just like you had in high school in word processing class or in social issues. I will always miss you and always love you for your kind and loving heart.
My deepest sympathies to the Arsenault family for your loss

Rob was by far the most talented kid I have ever had involved in theatre. I met him when he was 10 and I watched him grow in my theatre company. I will never forget his role as Agwe in Once On This Island.
Rob was funny, talented, gifted and a great honest person.
We will all miss him. May Bob, Kathy and Brian be forever in our prayers.

i think you were like 14 when i met you.. and i was older, so you were just a little kid to me. but you were so funny and so outgoing and i got sucked in! i looked up to you!! as odd as that sounds. you had such an awesome voice and song writing skills. you sang in a band (fencing david) and i don't think i ever thought of you as 14. i just thought of you as my buddy. i remember spending evenings talking about all the great things you got to experience, like showcasing your band on "unsung heroes" or whatever it was called, on the radio. i stayed up all night that night, just to hear them interview you. in fact, i still have the tape banging around somewhere!!!
and then we lost touch for quite a while. that's the great thing about myspace/facebook, we were allowed to reconnect after some time. and it was like no time had passed and we were still friends like we were back in the day....
i hope you know that you have friends who adore you inside and out, no matter what crap life throws at you, no matter what distance there is between us. i hope you know that you have people out here that miss you in ways that will hurt forever. you are sorely missed. i wish i had more time with you to laugh and be silly (-;
love you, rob...

It has taken me a few days to get the courage to write to you. I tried to call your phone the other day to just have you answer and to make this all go away. But all I got was the voicemail. Its so hard to imagine youre gone but you are really here with me now as I type this. My angel. A true angel. I have so so so many memories with you Rob. You and I had a relationship that no one but you and I could ever understand. No matter what happened since we were 13 years old we kept in touch. I would find you and you would find me. Some way or another. I dont think Ill ever find another man who could make me laugh so hard in my entire life. You made me laugh so hard I could barely breathe and my abs hurt so bad. Your voice, oh my God your voice. I will never forget you had written me a song, and I came over to visit and we went into your basement and you sang it for me and played it on the guitar. This is something I will never ever forget ever. You were so talented. I would watch you on stage and wish I could have the presence you had. You just wowed the crowd. Every single time. Your personality was addicting. How could anyone not love you. Your jokes, your kindness your smile, ur cute laugh, and your kiss I will never forget. I love you so much Rob. I love you more than anything in this world. And I know you loved me too, because you told me every time we talked. I will miss you so much. My children and grandchildren will know all about you. I will see you one day Rob in Heaven. Cuz that is where you are. I will talk to you every single day. I love you.
I love you always.

From the minute Rob and I met at UMass our freshman year I knew we would be forever friends. His humor was so refreshing and he was so incredibly charming. During finals we needed a break from studying and decided to head to the grocery store for snacks- Rob insisted he wear my zebra bathrobe into the store, with the sash tied around his head. He had the ability to make anyone around him smile.
One night Rob challenged me to a game of cards. If he won we would relax and watch one of his favorite movies, and if I won we were swimming in his mothers’ pool. Within the hour we were in the newly opened, freezing water with noodles practicing handstands. It was one of the funniest sights you could imagine to see Rob in his Celtics sweatband balancing on pool noodles in the dark. We have never laughed so hard.
Rob was such an amazing person. He loved whole heartedly and he will forever hold a special place in my heart. I’m going to miss his handsome smile and the excited look he got on his face when he heard a song that he loved. I’ll miss his double turbo shots coffees and his silly antics. It’s hard for me to understand why someone so precious could be taken away from us so early, but I know he is looking down on us all, keeping us safe and reminding us to laugh each day.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Rob’s family who he loved so very much.

Bobby and Brian came into my life many years ago as small children, staying at our house during summer and school vacations. We will always remember the backyard baseball games, swimming in the pool, and your singing. You have a great talent, and will be using your voice to sing with the angels. We are so sorry for your loss. Brian, stay strong and you never will have to walk alone.

Rob was the first "best friend" I ever had. From the fifth to the seventh grades I spent a whole lot of time with Rob and was always in awe of his wit, his talent, and his charm. I will always treasure my memories of him, whether making up our first fake "band" when we were about ten, or playing baseball on the Cardinals.
Though we lost touch through our teen years, I always saw Rob as a man with a big heart, deep compassion, and a truly beautiful voice. I am so saddened by his passing. I will miss him greatly, as will everyone else he ever knew.
My heartfelt sympathies to Mr. and Mrs. Arsenault and Brian.

I remember your loving son from prayer group and I know his faith in God was revived and strong. He called me "the guiding light " and joined me in prayer every night that we saw one another, which was five nights per week. Rob knew that just a glimmer of faith would bring his soul to Heaven but he had great faith that brought Heaven to his soul & now the two are joined as one. Our loss is Heaven's gain. I am so sorry for your, our, loss. my deepest condolences and my fervent prayers that God will comfort you at this time of great sorrow... God Bless you and keep you in His Light of Love

It was my 1st day at Tyngsboro Jr/Sr High that Rob (and friend, Bill) made fun of my slight southern accent and became my 1st Massachusetts Friends. Rob proceeded to be a dear friend throughout high school. From being my 1st boyfriend to walking *though* the screen door at my house, I have only fond memories of Rob-- he was so full of laughter and fun and beautiful songs. To the Arsenault family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Rob tought me what it was to be loved unconditionaly and how to love someone back with all your heart. We were more than just a couple, we were bestfriends. We shared secrets and jokes that only the two of us would get ("Because I have a big head and little arms"). We shared laughter and tears but more than that we shared the same life for years. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for only him. I love you Rob and I will see you someday in Heaven.
