Born in Lowell on Feb. 16, 1945, he was a son of the late Archille and Dorothy (Dufault) Lagasse.
A communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, he was educated in local schools and graduated from Lowell Trade School. Prior to his illness, he was employed as a janitor in Burlington at the M/A-Com electronic company.
Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Glenn R. Lagasse and Scott J. Lagasse, both of Lowell; eight sisters, Pauline Ducharme, Jeannette Guillemette and Irene Ricard, all of Westford, Ruth Arsenault of Dracut, Lucille Delfino, Rose Gatteny, both residing in Florida, Bernadette Leahey of Pepperell, Dorothy Sjoman of Worcester; four brothers, Andy Lagasse of Westford, Armand Lagasse of Chelmsford, Raymond Lagasse, Robert's twin brother of Dracut, and Archille Lagasse Jr. also of Dracut. He also leaves his godchild Scott Lagasse of Hudson, N.H.; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Doris Proulx and Leon Lagasse.
