NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL -- Robert R. Nolin of New Smyrna Beach, FL, died April 13, 2013, at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Hospice in Ormond Beach, FL.

He was married for 55 years to the late Rosalie F. (Gibbons) Nolin, who died Feb. 27, 2008.

Born in Haverhill, MA, on November 19, 1927, he was one of the sons of the late George and Angelina (Caron) Nolin. In 1945 he graduated from Haverhill High School and later served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Employed by Western Electric Corp. in Haverhill, the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard, the Watertown Arsenal, he retired in 1988 after 31 years with Crouse Hinds Co. in Syracuse, NY.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Haverhill, MA, and Bradenton, FL.

He is survived by his five children and their spouses: sons Robert F. Nolin and Maya Bell, Coral Gables, FL; Christopher A. and Sadako Nolin and Timothy G. Nolin and former wife Maria Martin, New Smyrna Beach, FL; Joseph W. and Nanci Nolin, Port Orange, FL; and daughter Priscilla and Nathaniel Kidder, Gulfport, FL.

He was the brother of the late George Nolin, Rocky Hill, CT; Albert Nolin, Haverhill, MA; Antoinette Linehan, Lake Park, FL; and Helen Blomquist, Salisbury, MA.
