He was born in Chelmsford on April 10, 1932, the son of the late Robert and Evelyn (Bliss) Talty. He resided in Westford for 35 years.
Mr. Talty was a heavy equipment owner and operator in Westford and retired to Knox in 1994.
He was a former member of the Chelmsford Elks.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Karen Fidler of Knox; two sons, Mark and his wife Doreen Talty of Knox and Cole Talty of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Kim and her husband Scott Ellis of Port Orange, Fla.; two sisters, Anita and her husband George Hatch of Cocoa, Fla. and Brenda Talty of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
