Shawn Berube Obituary
Shawn P. Berube, 46, formerly of Westford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Brigham and Women's hospital in Boston on Friday, April 23, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Meghan (Lambert) Berube with whom he shared 10 years of marriage, but 23 years together.
He was born in Lowell on May 2, 1974 and was raised in Westford, attending Westford Academy. Shawn was a true craftsman. He worked at the family business alongside his father for many years, PS Berube Construction in Townsend. Shawn was a loving husband and father to his two young children whom he adored. He was a hardworking man, who was generous with his time and always put his family first. Shawn was a down to earth, regular guy, who enjoyed Nascar, chatting with friends and time with his family.
In addition to his wife Meghan, Shawn also leaves behind his two children; Stacia and Andrew Berube, his father, Peter Berube and Nancy Chapman, his brother, Jeffrey Berube and his wife Beth, his sister, Amanda Bashford, his nieces and nephews; Madison, Mariah, Joshua, Olivia and Deryk, his cherished friends who are more like family, Samuel "Fuzz" Enrico and Jessica Hardy. Shawn was sadly predeceased by his mother, Janet Berube who passed away in 2015.
Funeral services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that blood donations be made in Shawn's memory, this generous gift helps save lives.
