LOWELL -- Stasia M. (Dziegiel) Gursky, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died January 8, 2014, in Lowell, aged 93 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Benedict (Fred) Gursky.

Born in Lowell, February 20, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Marja (Kaszprzyk) Dziegiel.

Mrs. Gursky worked at the local mills, and also at the former Norton's Supereme and Alexander's Supermarkets in Cupples Square.

She was an avid fisherwoman, and greatly enjoyed camping, reading and dancing. Stasia was a volunteer campground hostess with the White Mountain National Forest, Twin Mountain, NH, for 15 years.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Linda (Irving) Gursky of Kingston, NH, Ronald Gursky of Melrose, MA, and Christopher and Angelika (Deaven) Gursky of Hudson, NH; three grandchildren, Krystina, Ryan and Krista. Also many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Blvd., the Highlands neighborhood of Lowell, on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Monday at 8:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Margaret Church, Stevens St., Lowell, at 9:30 AM. Interment will be held in the spring in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell.
