He was born in Leominster, Sept. 22, 1947, a son of Oscar J. and Corinne T. (Thomas) Roux. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fitchburg in 1965 and St. Anselm's College in Manchester, N.H., in 1969.
During the early 1970s, Mr. Roux assumed from his father Roux's Market in Shirley, which he operated until his death. During the 1980s he also owned and ran Roux's Market and Laundromat in Ayer.
He enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing and hunting, as well as riding his motorcycle.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jason T. and Colin T. Roux, both of Shirley; a daughter, Devin F. Roux of Shirley; and a sister, Kathleen R. Reinhardt of Lunenburg.
