Peter Roux Obituary
Born on April 18th, 1963 in Barre, VT, Peter was a true light in our lives. He taught everyone he met about patience, compassion, and the deep resilience of the human spirit. His life was a testament to finding beauty and joy in every moment, and he leaves an indelible mark on our family and all who knew him.
Peter was known for his contagious happy personality. He had a great sense of humor and a knack for sarcasm that was second to none. He had a passion for HAM Radio and went by the handle "Peter Rabbit". He enjoyed competition and participated in the special olympics. He found immense happiness in time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Jeannette; his siblings, Paul, Charlene, Francis and Leonard; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his Father Francis. The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers and healthcare professionals at Wentworth Douglas Hospital, Dover NH and Rochester Manor, Rochester NH for their incredible kindness and dedication.
Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 31 in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 206 Vine Street, Northfield, VT at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Northfield, VT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Peter's honor to Washington County Mental Health Services, Barre VT, or the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
