Deepest sympathies on your loss. Bill was a dear friend of my mom's (Joyce Pearce) and I remember several occasions spending time with the family. I have many works hanging in my house and am proud to tell each story when asked. Best to you and your family.

Dear Giavis Family, Bill was such a bright spirit in Lowell who will be deeply missed. He always had a kind, caring word and often a witty memory to share about his work, in our many discussions about Lowell's streets and arts community. His laughter was infectious and he made Lowell a better place. Best wishes and loving thoughts to you all, LZ Nunn & Paul Schor

To the Giavis family, tremendously saddened to hear of the passing of Bill. He was a funny story teller, a lovely man, and mentor to me during my time at The Brush. I have an original watercolor by Bill hanging in my home. A little part of him will always be home with me.Christine Xavier Callaghan

It was such a privilege to have had a chance to enjoy Bill's friendship over the years. I so enjoyed listening to his stories of the Greek Acre, taking trips together around the region in search of old diners, and just hanging out at the Brush as he continued to create his colorful works and share them with all. He embodies that Lowell spirit that moved the city to become a world class capital of culture and he will be greatly missed.
