Vivian Kalinowsky Obituary

Vivian M. Kalinowsky of Tyngsboro, Lowell native, avid knitter; 58 TYNGSBORO Vivian M. (Roy) Kalinowsky, 58, of Tyngsboro, died Thursday morning, at Lowell General Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Philip F. Kalinowsky with whom she would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on Oct. 27, 2007. Born in Lowell, Nov. 14, 1948, the daughter of the late Jocelyn and the late Rita (Matteau) Roy. She attended St. Jeanne D'Arc School, and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in the Class of 1966. She went on to attend Bryant Macintosh Business School in Lawrence. Prior to moving back to Tyngsboro, Vivian and Phil lived in New York where Vivian worked as a Teachers Aide for many years. Among her many interests, she was an avid knitter, and hosted a weekly knitting group. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and at her home. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kimberly A. Kalinowsky of Tyngsboro and Katherine A. Kalinowsky and her fiancé, David Kinney of Nashua, N.H.; a son, John P. Kalinowsky and his wife, Marcie of Danbury, Conn.; three sisters, Suzanne M. Vaillancourt and her husband, Robert, Denise R. Nunes and her husband, Theodore, and Lillian M. Bedard and her husband, Guy, all of Lowell; three brothers, Richard R. Roy and his wife, Catherine, Jean M. Roy and his wife, Patricia and Michel L. Roy, all of Lowell; many nieces and nephews; an aunt, Germaine Pepin of Lowell; and her mother-in-law, Josephine H. Kalinowsky of Peabody. KALINOWSKY In Lowell, Oct. 11, 2007, at Lowell General, Vivian M. (Roy) Kalinowksy, 58, of Tyngsboro, wife of Philip F. Kalinowsky. Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 3 to 8 P.M. Sunday. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home on Monday morning at 8 o'clock followed by a Funeral Mass at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH in NO. CHELMSFORD at 9 o'clock. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. Those wishing may make contributions to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
