To the entire Alexis family, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Alexis' passing. He was always positive and cheerful. I wish the entire family peace. Pete, I still remember the Detroit Tigers clock your father had in the basement.

Dear Mrs Alexis and the family, I am very saddened to hear of Mr. Alexis' passing. He was such a wonderful man! I remember, years ago, when he was opening his drugstore, my brother Tim and I rode along Douglas Rd. on our bikes delivering flyers about the new drugstore. We often went to the drugstore to enjoy the soda fountain! For many years, when I started teaching in Lowell, I would pass the drugstore daily, on my way to school, and more often than not, stopped in to buy something, gum, mints, anything, just to see Mr. Alexis! He was such a warm welcoming person! I ended up for a while at a school across the river and didn't pass the drugstore regularly, then ultimately at a school on Chelmsford St. that I accessed by traveling down Andover St. Sadly, stopping in to see Mr. Alexis tapered off, but I remember him very fondly, always a smile. I send my sincere sympathies to all. If I were local, I would certainly attend Mr. Alexis' wake and funeral. I am presently out of state but wanted to sign this guest book in his memory. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

To the Alexis family... Mr. Alexis (Bill) was our family pharmacist from the day he opened until the day he retired... even after my parents had moved to RI.... He was always there for my family. However, my fondest memories are sitting together at the Golden Gloves for over 20 years!!! He was the quintessential gentleman, always held my hand and asked about my parents... so kind... my heartfelt condolences to all of you.... I feel so blessed to have known him.

To the Alexis family you have my heartfelt condolences and prayers at this time.
I first met Bill just about 50 years ago as a new Police Officer introduced by my partner that day Joe Shaw. Joe made it part of his Belvedere Patrol to everyday stop into the Drug store to chat with Bill.
Bill reminded me of what a druggist was to the people of the neighborhood; a person you could go to if you needed help, very similar to the Rouine Druggists.
I have often thought of Bill over the years for pharmacists today lack the connection to the neighborhood people, that's a loss for everyone.
Have Faith the Lord said we will be reunited with our loved ones in the next life and who knows maybe a cold Lime Ricky...

Mr. Alexis was a student of my grandmother's, Mildred Cooney McMahon, in the Lowell schools, and his son Peter was an enormous help to me in my family history research endeavors back when he was at The Pollard Library. The Alexis family is revered and loved in the City of Lowell and beyond. Our sympathy and thoughts are with Mr. Alexis' family.
