William E. McLean, Jr.
Korean War Veteran; 77

NASHUA, NH -- William E. McLean Jr., age 77, passed away in his sleep at the home of his daughter in Nashua, NH on January 13, 2013.

Bill was born and raised in Machias, ME, then went on to become an Army Sergeant in the Korean War. He settled in Massachusetts with his wife Hildred to raise their family. They spent their retirement years in Augusta, ME.

His favorite pastime was flying his Cessna four passenger airplane and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brother Robert, sister Carol and son Kevin. He is survived by his brother Phillip; wife Hildred; two sons, Rollyn and Glen; his daughter Bonnie; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

McLEAN -- A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 16th from 1-4 at the American Legion Hall, 90 Groton Rd., N. Chelmsford, MA. He will be buried at the Mt. Vernon Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, ME at a later date. I cannot think of anything more sad than the hole in our hearts when someone moves on. He will be remembered with the many memories he left us with. One of mine is that big grin and "Hi Boot!" greeting every single time I saw him. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Uncle Billy.
