Becky Jeree Schweizer, 73, a Cape Coral, Florida, resident for the last 17 years, formerly of Wanatah, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025, in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was born Nov. 20, 1951, in La Porte, Indiana, to Dorothy and Richard Snyder, now deceased.
Becky was a member of the Union Baptist Church, Union Mills, Indiana. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend whose warmth, laughter and love left a lasting mark on all who knew her.
Becky's greatest joy was her family. She fiercely loved her children and grandchildren and never missed a game, school play or important moment. She was always their biggest fan.
Becky was a spirited competitor. She loved playing board and card games and rarely lost. Her circle of friends was wide and dear to her heart.
Though we miss her deeply, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited in heaven with her husband and parents. And we can just hear her now, proudly shouting, "Go Cubs Go!"
Becky's love and light will continue to live on in all of us.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Schweizer, in 2023.
She is survived by her three loving children, Reed Schweizer and wife Roseann of Cape Coral, Sarah Schweizer and husband Steve McBroom of Pearland, Texas, and Angela Sibbrell and husband Joshua of Cape Coral; one brother, Todd Snyder and wife Linda of Union Mills, Indiana; a brother in law, Dale Schweizer and wife Cindy also of Union Mills; 14 grandchildren, Mason, Ava, Grady, Morgan and husband Kevin, Jenna, Davis, Stephen, Isaac, Olyvia, Colin, Hunter, Isabella, Chloe and Joshua; four great-grandchildren, Hadley, Hudson, Addison and Parker; five nieces, Gretchen, Jackie, Melody, Harmony and Heidi; as well as two nephews, Eric and Aaron.
A private family gathering is planned.
