Carol Zimmerman, 81, New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at 11:40 p.m. in Hamilton Communities, Inc., New Carlisle, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at Faith City Assembly of God, 1314 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, Indiana, with Pastor Geoff Safirt and Pastor Bill Barnes officiating.
Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, and from 10 a.m. until time service Friday in the Faith City Assembly of God Church.
She was born June 14, 1943, in Muncie, Indiana, to the late Charles and Nova (Wolfe) Miller. On July 30, 1966, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married Chester Zimmerman, who preceded her in death on May 29, 2000.
Surviving are daughter, Debra (Dennis) Siddall of New Carlisle, Indiana; son, Jonas Zimmerman of Valparaiso, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jordan Zimmerman of Valparaiso, Indiana, Kristen (Jason) Kleist of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, and David (Kaitlyn) Siddall of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; five great-grandchildren, Mason Kleist, Grayson Kleist, Madison Kleist, Lucas Siddall and Kane Siddall; and sister-in-law, Kathy Miller of Rolling Prairie, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, John Miller and Larry Miller; and sister-in-law, Tillie Miller.
She was a member of Faith City Assembly of God, Michigan City, Indiana, where she volunteered for numerous activities over the years. She also volunteered for many years as an election poll worker.
Carol was the office manager for Michigan City Podiatrist Foot Clinic for many years and was a life member of the American Board of Podiatrist Medicine. She was a selfless person, who always cared and thought of the other person's need. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles.
