Dorothy M. Trojan, 93, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11:19 p.m. in her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo and 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana, with Rev. David Kime officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
She was born April 28, 1930, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Edward and Anna (Knoll) Foldenauer. On Aug. 5, 1950, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married Edward Trojan, who preceded her on Aug. 9, 2007.
Surviving are a daughter, Lynne (Radoica) Rutovic of Knox, Indiana; two sons, Edward J. Trojan and James (Juli) Trojan, both of La Porte, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Derek (Shalane) Rutovic of Houston, Texas, Natalie (Kris) Wiebe of Alberta, Canada, Katie (Daniel) Bostick of Indianapolis, Indiana, Michael Trojan of La Porte, Indiana, Matthew (Karly) Trojan of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kim Trojan of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Kristine Trojan of Indianapolis, Indiana; and seven great-grandchildren, Ruthie, Caleb, Nolan, Kiersten, Elise, Olivia and Clara.
She was also preceded in death by her son, John S. Trojan; two sisters, Clara Kieszkowski and Ruth Pliske; and eight brothers, Leonard, William, Raymond, Carl, Elmer, Edward, Robert and Joseph Foldenauer.
Dorothy had worked as a bakery and deli clerk at various area grocery stores. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Michigan City, Indiana.
