Linda Nettie Denow, 77, of Michigan City passed away peacefully at 1:30 a.m. Sept. 26, 2022, at Life Care Center of Michigan City.
She was born May 2, 1945, in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, to Emery and Beryl (Detwiler) Teeters.
Linda loved her family and pets. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter, Lisa, until falling ill. The highlight of each trip would be visiting each post exchange store her husband or grandson were stationed. Linda took great pride in her military family. She liked to watch Court TV and Facebook. Linda especially enjoyed taking scenic rides through Washington Park Beach and Indiana Dunes with her husband, Bob. She loved spending time with her beloved four-legged companion, Blue.
She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Denow, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Lori Popard-Jones; one brother, Russell "Red Bird" Teeters; one sister, Emily "Jean" Hintermyer; and two aunts, Ida Detwiler and Elva "Jackie" Detwiler-Garwick.
Linda's surviving legacy is her daughter, Lisa (Steve) Wisman of Harrisonburg, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Todd (Vanessa) Wisman of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, Tyler Wisman of Richmond, Virginia, Olivia Smith of Gary, Indiana, Emily Lucas of La Porte, Indiana, Megan Lucas of Michigan City, Indiana, Geneva (Samantha Beck) Jones of Niles, Michigan, and Abigail (Katelynn Rhodes) Jones of Michigan City; seven great-grandchildren, Lucas, Makayla, Nicholas, Dallas, Emma Rose, Michael and August; one special cousin, Robin Panasiti-Guajardo; and a host of those who loved her and called her "Maw Maw."
A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, at her home. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, 219-362-3100, will be caring for the arrangements.

So sorry for your loss. Linda and I just just reconnected after 55 years. It was a joy to reconnect. My father was the minister of the church at Fouss Mills where her and your grandmother attended faithfully.
