Rocky A. Downs Sr., 61, of Georgetown, Illinois, formerly of Michigan City, Indiana, earned his angel wings on Aug. 26, 2024, at Carle Hospital Urbana, Illinois.
Rocky was born on Feb. 17, 1963, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Nancy (Gulliver) Klosinski and John Downs.
Mr. Downs is survived by his partner Crystal Walker; one son, Rocky (Heather) Downs; two daughters, Hannah (Devin) Downs and Morgan Chancellor; five grandchildren, Adalyn, Brooklyn, Kylah, Winter and Atlas; also one brother, Richard (Diane) Bolka; four sisters, Tricia Smith, Dodie (Daniel) Dieter, Kayann Bolka and Karen Klosinski; one grandmother, Onie Downs; and several aunts and uncles.
Mr. Downs was preceded in death by his father, John Downs; and two step-fathers, James Bolka and Timothy Klosinski.
Rocky was a journeyman mason for 30-plus years, who loved his fur babies.
Mr. Downs will be cremated and there will be a private memorial for the family at a later date.
