Ronda Kepplin Obituary
Ronda Renee Kepplin, 53, of La Porte passed away peacefully at 11:15 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, at her home.
She was born in La Porte on Jan. 27, 1972, to Phil and Faye (Combs) Rogowski.
On Aug. 3, 2002, Ronda married Dwayne Kepplin, who preceded her in death.
Ronda was a wonderful woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. As a talented hairdresser and co-owner of A Cut Above Salon, she was dedicated to making others feel beautiful and confident. She was also an incredibly loving mother, always present at her children's sports games and was their biggest supporter.
Even through her battle with cancer, Ronda maintained an incredible strength and positive outlook. She never lost her smile, and her infectious laughter could light up any room. Her sense of humor and love for making others laugh made her a joy to be around, even in the toughest of times.
Ronda was an animal lover, especially fond of turtles, cats and dogs, and her deep love for her family and children was at the center of everything she did. Her unwavering support for her loved ones and her ability to find joy in the little things will be remembered by all who knew her.
Ronda's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Surviving are her two children, Kylie Kepplin and Grady Kepplin; sister, Wendi (Patrick) Hemphill; brother, P.J. (Pam) Rogowski; her partner, Andrew Truhn; and nieces and nephews, Petra Hemphill, Wrigley Hemphill and Wreese Hemphill.
Cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 12, at A Cut Above, 305 W. Buffalo St. New Buffalo, Michigan, from 4 to 7 p.m. Eastern Time, 3 to 6 p.m. Central Time. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, 219-362-3100, is caring for the arrangements.

Ronda was an exceptional hairdresser and was so easy to talk to. She and I laughed so much over the years. She was so helpful to me when I went through tough times and through joys.
She was an angel that will absolutely be missed.

Dear Kylie and Grady, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sorry I didn't know of her passing in time to be at the gathering in order to express my sympathy to you in person. I loved your Mom very much. She was a huge gift to me and I will always treasure her friendship. I will not forget her. I met Ronda close to 20 years ago when I wandered into A Cut Above on my way home from the beach one day. She had just had a last minute cancellation so I hopped into the chair and got my first "Ronda cut". Loved it, loved her and the rest is history. I just found out about her passing. I am profoundly sad and will miss her talents and our hilarious conversations. RIP my funny, beautiful friend.

I met Ronda over 30 years ago when I walked into A Cut Above and she said to me "Your perm days are over". We both laughed and became quick friends. She styled my hair on my wedding day and made me look beautiful! She was kind and funny. I'm so sorry such a lovely soul has departed this earth at such a young age.
