Timothy Lee Povlock's gentle spirit passed quietly into the light while he slept, Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
Tim was the second child born to Lee and Margaret Jean (Greenlaw) Povlock on April 15, 1961, in Michigan City, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Lewis; and nephew, Stephen Lewis.
He is survived by his father, Lee F. (Judy) Povlock; his mother, Margaret Jean Schroeder of Coral Gables, Florida; his brother, David (Veronica) Povlock of Lake Tansi, Tennessee; his nieces, Monica Lewis of La Porte, Indiana, and Jesse (Brett) Ward of Fairbanks, Alaska; his nephew, Jacob Povlock of Portland, Oregon; as well as many Povlock and Greenlaw aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tim will be lovingly remembered for his kindness, generous heart and tenaciously dealing with life on his own terms. He had a terrific memory and could recall every detail of his fishing trips to Minnesota and other family events.
At the end of warm workdays and weekends, he would head to the pier hoping for the big coho. His love of the natural world, his many friendships, the simple life he chose to live – uncomplicated and with few possessions – was worthy of respect, especially in today's world. See you, Timmy, at the next fishing hole.
The family will observe a private remembrance.
