Trudy Hope Wolfe-Frazee, 79, passed away peacefully at her summer home in Hudson Lake, Indiana, on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025. She was the loving wife of Cecil L. Frazee to whom she shared 47 years of marriage.
Trudy was born in Sullivan, Indiana. She was the daughter of Thelma and Charles Wolfe. She graduated from Wirt High School in Miller, Indiana, and attended Indiana University where she received a Master of Education while also majoring in English and minoring in psychology. She started her teaching career at St. Mary's of the Lake in Miller, Indiana. Trudy then moved to Houston, Texas, with her family where she taught sixth grade English in both Houston ISD and Pasadena ISD. She was also the head of the English department at Miller Intermediate. It was here that she led the Academic Pentathlon team to numerous victories.
In her younger years, Trudy enjoyed bowling and won trophies for her exceptional play. She loved cruising the world with her husband, Cecil, on the Cunard line. Her absolute favorite place to visit was London, England. In addition, she loved to crochet and quilt. She will be remembered for the beauty and precision of her blankets.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil; her son, Jason Lambert; her daughters, Cecily Frazee, Carley Frazee-Heidrick and Angela Frazee-Adams; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; as well as her precious pet, Kasey. She was predeceased by her mother, Thelma Wolfe; her father, Charles Wolfe; and her sister, Judy Davies.
Trudy will continue her educational journey by going back to Indiana University's Medical School in Bloomington. It is here that Trudy will be known as a legacy for allowing the surgical students to study Alzheimer's. We are honored as a family that she will continue to teach.
