Vera Cleora Wroblewski, 85, of La Porte passed away peacefully at 8:59 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2025, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida.
She was born on Dec. 19, 1939, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Loran and Adaline (Cochran) McCormick.
On Oct. 26, 1957, in La Porte, she married George Wroblewski, who survives.
Vera worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, flower gardening, riding her golf cart and playing golf. She was greatly loved and will be truly missed.
Also surviving are her children, Patricia Abbott, Diana (Roy) Layman, George (Tammy) Wroblewski Jr., Richard (Corina) Wroblewski and Andrew Wroblewski; three sisters, Eleanor Faulstich, Linda Short and Nancy McCormick; and 17 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack, Loran, Searl and Joe; and sisters, Evelyn and Jo Ann.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Shippeeburg Cemetery, 8910 N. Wilhem Rd. La Porte, with Pastor Joseph Watterson Officiating. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, 219-362-3100, is caring for the arrangements.
