William J. Mshar Jr., age 46, of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away on June 6, 2021, in Valparaiso. He was born on Dec. 30, 1974, in Hammond, Indiana, to William J. Mshar Sr. and Susan (Falgier) Mshar.
He is survived by his loving parents; his siblings, Rebecca (Justin) Oprish of Oregon, Jason Mshar of Chesterton and Jennifer (Ricardo Cervantes) Mshar of Chesterton; his niece and nephews, Jeremy, Kayla, Liam and Jose; and by his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
William was an incredibly kind and generous man. He would often go out of his way to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a member of the IBEW Local 531 electricians' union, and was also active in the NJATC, where he taught in the apprentice program. The Chicago Black Hawks was his favorite team of all-time, and he rarely missed a game. He loved music, and especially loved playing his guitar.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, Indiana. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Please feel free to wear your Black Hawks gear or come just as you are.
Per the family's request, masks are mandatory at all times inside the funeral home. Thank you for your cooperation.

Bill was a kind and gentle soul willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could. He helped me thru our electrucal apprenticeship and many other things like painting and moving. He will be sadly missed by all. May you rest in peace brother!
