Alva Carl "Al" McPrangle

Alva "Al" Carl McPrangle Laingsburg Al C. McPrangle, age 94 of passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his home. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Laingsburg First Congregational Church with Pastor Cayle Beagle officiating. Al was born on June 12, 1916 in Dewitt, the son of Frank and Minnie (Rossow) McPrangle. On December 31, 1935 he married Pearl M. DePew in Jackson, MI. Al served in the U.S. Army (Engineers) during WWII. He worked for Oldsmobile for 14 years, 19 years for the State of Michigan in the Dept. of Management and Budget, and owned the G & S Tavern (now O'Burns) in Laingsburg. He was a life time member of the Eagles, the Masons and the VFW of Lansing and he loved to golf. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Pearl, and his niece Patricia Upton of Rainbow Lake. He was predeceased by sisters, Frances Andre and Arlene Smith and brother, Roman. Memorials can be made to Laingsburg First Congregational Church.
