Edgar Leonard Kemp

Edgar Kemp, of Laingsburg, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Corunna United Methodist Church, 200 W. McArthur St. Corunna, MI 48817. Pastor Russell Logston officiating. Visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, MI.

Ed graduated from Ortonville High School, where he laid the foundations of a lifetime of learning and curiosity. His pursuit of knowledge led him to DeVry University, where he graduated with a degree that would launch a long and successful career with I.B.M. Ed's dedication and work ethic were evident to his colleagues and friends, making him a respected figure in his professional community.

His life was not all work, however; Ed was deeply involved in his community as a proud member of the Laingsburg Lions Club. His commitment to service was also reflected in his active participation in the Corunna United Methodist Church.

Ed was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy K. Kemp, his parents, H. Leonard Kemp and Louise Armitage, and his sister, Joan Kemp, with whom he now rests in peace. Ed leaves behind several cousins.
