If there ever was a testimony for a long and happy marriage, it surely was Bain & Leota. I will always miss them and am proud I was part of the family. I have many happy memories of both of them and their wonderful spirits.

Dear Richard, Ralph, and families
Our sincere sympathy to you and your families. You were fortunate to have your parents as long as you did. Both Alvin's and my parents passed away so soon. God bless you all!
Sincerely,
Alvin and Nancy (Ray) Striggow

Dear Dick and Shirley, I know it is very difficult to be separated from Mom and Dad but I celebrate the lives they lived and the fact that they touched so many with their testimony for the Lord. We love you and will pray for you as the Lord brings you to mind. Love, Dan and Evelyn

Richard and Shirley, Ralph and Lisy,
My prayers are with you, as is my joy that Bain and Leota are with the Lord (I Cor 2:9 and II Cor 5:8) - for this longing to with the Lord was truly in their hearts.
They were a delight to visit. My life has been enriched by knowing your mom and dad, and by knowing you. May God bring comfort to you in the days ahead.

Julia, Amy and I, count ourselves blessed in a very special way to have known true Christian fellowship with our brother and sister Bain and Leota. Not a visit went by that we did not feel we had been in the presence of true saints of God. I can almost hear them together singing praises to our Lord.
"What a fellowship, what a joy divine......."

Our friendship with Bain & Leota was an extension of theirs with my parents, Sam & Thelma Campbell. What pleasure they took in the company of one another, and how they all enjoyed their Long John Silver outings! Bain & Leota have left a wonderful legacy of love...for each other, for their family, and for their Savior. We pray God will give you the comfort and encouragement needed during these days of "sorrowing with joy".

Two of the best examples of living a good christian life that I have ever seen.
What a wonderful life these two people led together.
It has been such a privilege to have Bain and Leota touch my life.
Prayers go out to the family.

I loved Uncle Bain and Aunt Leota. I have many happy memories of both of them. It was always a special time for our whole family when they came to North Carolina for a visit. Mom and Aunt Leota wrote each other every week, so we kept up on the news of the McLeod family. I loved to hear Uncle Bain and Daddy tell stories about growing up on the farm. When Uncle Bain brought Aunt Leota down to meet the family for the first time they gave her a royal welcome.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Even though we are happy they are together in heaven with Jesus, we are still going to miss them terribly. Our love to all of you, Donnie, Joyce, Tara, Nicole, Ashley, Molly and Reba

Hello Brother Richard and Shirley,
Hilda and I are remembering the entire family before the Lord at this time.We were only able to meet your parents a couple of times at Church but appreciated them, even in our brief encounters. We sorrow and rejoice with you. What an amazing answer to prayer for them to enter the joy of their Lord in just a matter of days one from the other. Heaven is now even sweeter. Their home going is precious in the sight of the Lord. God bless, until He comes for all of us. Larry and Hilda

Ralph - - - Jacque McClintock was kind enough to pass along the information of your parents recent concurrent passing. Although it's always sad to lose one's parents, I would say that you were highly blessed to have known and had them for so long ... as they were blessed for having each other for so long!
Our thoughts are with you in your celebration of your parents long and loving lives!
We're on the 26th day of a 38 day driving tour of the New England states and northeastern Canada. Currently in Saint John, New Brunswick after two weeks in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. This has been one of my "bucket list" items to scratch off as I celebrate my 75th birthday next month!
