Wow! Aubrey and Cheryl Brown wish Tom and family a great amount of encouragement. We did not know Barbara passed until today 8/22/13. I was surely upset at this loss and would of loved to have been there Tom to support you if I had even know. I will miss Barb we new her over 25 years. I will always love her and will see her again.

Barbara was one of the first person I met when I used to work in (then) Commercial Services, she was alway professional and pleasant. Over the years I learned she also had a great sense of humor and maintained a pleasant disposition dispite whatever else was going on. She was a kind and loving person. Any who worked with her and got to know her will miss her good-natured demeanor and helpfulness.

From the first day I met her I was welcomed with that beautiful smile and I never saw her with out it. Her beauty radiated both inside and out and she was truly genuine. Tom...We have many fond memories of your beautiful wife when the two of you opened your lovely home to Lela and her family and friends. There are no words to express the grief felt after the loss of Barbie Doll. She made my Uncle Tom's smile bigger and brighter in the years they spent together. I believe that the volume of love we receive directly correlates with the volume of love that we share. Barb was a living example of that theory...as well as my brother Tom. We may all wish for more days to share in Barb's light and love, but the strength of spirit that she passed on to each us will stay with us for a lifetime. Barb, a true friend, there would be times that months would go by and we would not talk or see each other, but when we did it was like we never missed a beat. Her smile and acts of kindness never changed….. Barb, I Love you and I'm going to miss you.
Tom, you were the love of her life. We all know that Barb had happy eyes—a glow and a beautiful smile, but when she talked about you her eyes and smile were even bigger. I know you will miss her deeply. God loves you and he will wrap his arms around you, granting you peace, comfort and strength!

Barb and I were members of DeLesa Royal's "Beauty-shop Girls." We were under the dryers side by side for years, then across from each other in chairs for more years. If everyone in the room had a smile on their faces, it was because Barb was there. She was positivity incarnate! Never a cross word as we all went through the trials and joys of our lives together, week after month after year. I will miss Barb.....the entire community will miss the positive energy that she radiated. Rest in peace, friend. Until we meet again....

Barb entered my life as a co-worker and then became my best friend, like a sister to me. She adopted my family as hers and they adopted her into ours. We remember Barb from LWOC days. Mike served in the youth ministry with Barb and we fellowshipped at youth workers get-togethers. Barb was a woman of great strength and compassion. Her humor was contagious. Her presence will be missed.

Tom, my deep, sincere prayers are with you during the transition of this difficult time. I met Barb over 25 years ago where we attended the same church. Barb periodically volunteered in the children's ministry during our regular church services and I met her through my daughter, who often spoke lovingly of Barb in our home. I initially met Barb at the close of one of our church services, after my daughter ran over to her and embraced her with a big hug. Barb was chatting with a few parishioners at the time, but did not hesitate to return the love to my little girl. That image of Barb, vividly resonates in my heart and thoughts today. I will always remember the impact she made upon my young daughter's life. Thanks Barb, enjoy your wings!

It was Barb' smile, she could light up a room and a group with her smile and loving ways. There was a large group of friends that were created through the many years at Liquor Control.
