Constance Liebler Obituary

Constance M. Liebler Lansing After a very courageous battle with cancer, Constance Liebler passed away on June 27, 2009, at the age of 56. She was born on May 24, 1953, in Detroit, and was raised in Traverse City. She was the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Goedde) Truelove, who preceded her in death. Connie received her degree in nursing from Michigan State University and served since that time as a very dedicated nurse in the Emergency Room at Sparrow Hospital. Her hobbies included sewing and working with stained glass. Surviving are her husband, Dr. Edward C. Liebler; children, Corrine (Deane) Comer of Georgia, Michelle Montgomery of Florida, Juli Liebler of East Lansing, and Edward J. Liebler of Arizona; grandchildren, Julian Edward Liebler and Alex Edwin Liebler; and brothers and sisters, Wendy (Ted) High, Leslie (Bill) Gigante, Larry (Diane) Truelove, Tom (Sue) Truelove, Tim (Sandy) Truelove, Pat Truelove, Denice Truelove, and Shawn Truelove. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Michael Hollenbeck officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dr. Edward C. Liebler Endowed Chair at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University.

Connie always had a smile on her face not matter how hectic the day was. She always made the patients feel at ease and as comfortable as possible. We were deeply saddened to hear about her passing. She will be greatly missed.
