Dale Lemon Obituary

Dale E. Lemon Lansing Dale E. Lemon, age 91, died July 4, 2008; born November 7, 1916 in Owosso, MI to Ethelwyn Earl Lemon and Lena Elizabeth (Burwell) Lemon. They moved to Olson, MI where Dale attended school in a one room schoolhouse. Prior to his teen years, they moved to Midland, MI, and Dale moved to the Lansing area for job opportunities after completing his education. Dale married Viola May Phipps on September 14, 1941. He worked a variety of jobs and settled in at Noval engine and then the John Bean plant where he worked as a bench grinder. After John Bean closed, Dale finished his working career and retired from Demmer's as a tool and die maker. Preceded in death by his wife, Viola (1998); son, Kenneth Lemon (2006); and daughter, Linda May Bartley (2002). Surviving are his daughter, Mary Ann Baillargeon and her husband, Ron, of Mesa, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Erin Bartley, Michelle Carroll, Kevin and Brian Baillargeon; and 5 great-grandchildren, Brian, Andrew, Abby and Kate Carroll and Kiernan Baillargeon. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 7 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing, MI with Elder John Balden officiating. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 6 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Visiting Nurse Service of Michigan Hospice, or the Eaton Rapids Senior Center.
