Debbie , You will be greatly missed and in so many ways. You were a wonderful teacher, leader, organizer, and kind friend. You made time to listen and consider whatever was asked of you, Your faithfulness to LSEA and MEA are a legacy. But I must add your love and pride for your family was always paramount in your thoughts and actions. That was a great encouragement along the way for myself and others. You will be sorely missed. To Chuck and sons praying for you through this difficult time. May the Lord of heaven be with you and comfort you.

I was just thinking about my high school friends and Debbie came to mind. I then got a phone call that she had died. I was very sad.
I went to Pershing High School with Debbie, Michigan State University, and we taught at Lansing Everett High School together. When I think about Debbie, I remember she was always kind, gracious, hardworking, and intelligent. I don't think anyone could say anything different about her. She will truly be missed. I pray for her family and friends.
Debbie, you were an Angel on Earth and now an Angel in heaven. Godspeed. I've always admired you❤

Debbie, words can not express how much I will miss you. You have been a second mom, a best friend, role model in fighting for what is right. You took me under your wing 20 years ago and I have learned so much from you. The laughter, fun and memories in and out of work will stay close to my heart. Rest in peace my beautiful friend.

Deborah, was a good teacher and
So nice to me I had the opportunity to know her and work with her for years as her sub at Bingham school. I will miss her dearly.

Although I never worked in the same building as Deb, I worked with her through her years as an amazing advocate for children and those that teach them. Her leadership in the LSEA, the MEA and on the national level earned the respect of all who knew her. Her passing is a great loss for all of us in the Lansing School District, but her legacy will continue through the work she did and the hundreds of lives she touched. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Deb, you are missed and your impact will not be forgotten. Kristan Small
