I first met Eagle several years ago at Court One gym. We chatted often after excesses from engineering to other science and sports matters. I was very impressed. I've known Eagle for the past 4 years that I've been on the high school's robotics team. He was a year older than me, and I always looked up to him. He taught me how to drive a robot, use a band saw, and many other things. He was a much better teacher and leader than I ever was, or could ever hope to be. This past year, even though he already graduated, he still made an effort to occasionally attend meetings as a mentor, even while he was recovering from chemotherapy. His dedication to the team was incredibly admirable. My condolences to his family and friends.

Eagle was such a wonderful person. As a student in my science classes he impressed me with his intelligence, curiosity, and high standards. He strove to understand, not just get a good grade or feed an ego. Even on those occasions when he became indignant about something it was because others were not acting for the best interests of other people. I remember a big smile, lots of questions, and seemingly boundless energy. He may have had great interest in robots, but he unconditionally immersed himself in all kinds of field experiences during my Advanced Earth Science Class. He loved learning. And he was generous to other people.

I remember when Eagle and I were in the same group to work on our orchestra project. He was very vocal about what we needed to do and always brought the energy we needed. I also remember the conversations we used to have in the hallway and in the classroom. He'd share what he was exploring in engineering or we'd talk about what was going on in our classes and lives. The very first class I attended at Purdue University, Eagle was the first to speak to me and he was a very outspoken and well mannered classmate. He was very passionate about computer aided design, and always had discussions about how he wanted to use his 3D printing machine to build parts for his own projects. His cooking was always made with passion, and he loved adding some spice to all his cooking. He was always willing to help out when his classmates needed it, and he was not afraid of being himself. I am going to miss him and send my deepest condolences to him and his family.
