Garett Chopp Obituary
Grand Ledge - Garett Joseph Chopp of Grand Ledge passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2020. Garett was born November 8, 1994 in Lansing to Dennis and Cynthia (Wolker) Chopp. He attended Grand Ledge High School where he actively involved in playing basketball and soccer. Garett graduated in 2013. He worked numerous jobs but his favorite thing was finishing drywall. Garett will be remembered for his kind loving spirit and his ability to easily connect with others and become friends. He was always willing to help in someone in need and was the best son and brother. He is survived by his mother, Cynthia (Daniel) Wolker-Pung; father, Dennis Chopp; siblings, Lauren Renee Chopp and Gabriel Patrick Chopp; aunts, Roberta Housholder and Terri (Rob) Lang; uncles, Gary (Vanessa) Chopp, Kevin (Kelly) Chopp, Robert (Laura) Chopp and Greg (Lisa) Chopp along with numerous cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 31, 2020, 10:30 a.m. at St. Gerard Catholic Church by Father John Klein. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 6-9:00 p.m. at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice. Dennis and Cindy, though I never knew your beautiful Son, your Dad and his Grandfather Bob, was one of the best men ever and I hope they were able to share some time together. I lost my Dad 4 years ago (Tony Thias) and still cry most every day. Please know our Parents are there welcoming Garett and he is with the Lord. My prayers are with your Family and God Bless.
