Dear Dear Kathy,
I amso happy I got to reunite with you Kathy this year, even thoughit was only in writingIt meant so much to me, to feel that you truly cared, not only about me but also my family, which you never got to meet.Even thoughit has been almost30 years since we saw each other, I felt your concern and warmth. You, Greg and DeAnna opened your home for me, for 10 months, which was a great experience. I sure got to eat a lot of ice cream during those months.I will forever remember you greatlaugh, your willingness to drive me to school, help me with homework, even after a long day at work. The Sunday cleaning, driving me to Chicago to pick up Camilla.This year you offered I could come to stay with you, together with my 14-yearson. The way you asked about our situation and your willingness to help in any way, touched my heart deeply.I was looking forward to seeing you this coming summer. Talked to Karsten about what to show you here. I so wanted it not to be you, when I read the news. Still do.Thank you for everything Kathy

Kathy was the first friend I made in a strange new town, my first time away from home. She became more than a friend though. Kathy was my confidant, my laughing partner and a second Mom. Smart, strong and kind Kathy was someone I tried to model myself after. In recent years distance had separated us, but she was always in my heart. That is where shell remain forever. I love you, Kathy.
