Years pass so quickly. I recently moved to the west side of Lansing and often pass the street where Lindy lived. I think of her every single time I drive by. She had such a loving soul.

My mom still talks about her all the time. She visits Lindy's burial site several times a year. Lindy was always very kind.

It has been 5 years, there are so many times I think of the things I learned from Lindy. She has a warm caring heart and accomplished so much in her lifetime. Raising two families has many lessons that I reflect on how she did it so well. She made a difference in my life.

It is with deep sadness that I write in this memorial guest book for our dear Lindy. I just learned of her death last night from a friend, and my heart is aching for the loss of this truly amazing woman who touched my heart so deeply during the past dozen years. The moment I met her when she stepped into my foyer of my home on Drummond Island with friends of ours, it was instant love. Love for her sparkling eyes that showed the integrity of her heart, love for her style and grace, and the love that developed for her knowledge and abilities - especially how to clean my windows, let alone her outstanding chocolate chip cookies and spaghetti sauce, and the love of her deep love for her family and friends. She was so beautiful inside and out, and I truly will miss the embrace of her arms and her care. I took this photo of her and the family at the Moose Lodge on Drummond Island in August 2013. She shared the story of her illness with me then and the determination to give her all for the precious moment of sharing. She inspired me in so many wonderful ways that will last my lifetime. Thank you Lindy Hover for so much you gave from your heart. My thoughts and prayers are for your dear husband and the family as they deal with your loss and keep your shining spirit alive in their hearts as they carry your heart wherever they go. With love, admiration and respect always, your friend Jeri.

It's hard to comprehend that someone with such spirit, grace and joy of life is no longer among us. We count ourselves lucky to have known her and our deepest condolences go out to Don and her family.
I got to spend a few precious hours reflecting…she would have got a kick out of my newfound hobby...

It was an instant friendship right from the start over 20 years ago when I met and married my late husband. The four of us had many many fun times.
Skiing in Sundance, boat trip to the North Channel,Mackinac Island,Alaska cruise and many dinner parties @ the Hovers with family and friends. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Loving Mother, grandmother and the best wife and friend.
Even when my life changed 10 years ago, Lindy always kept in touch!
Everything Lindy did she did with style and elegance. What a positive attitude, strength and endurance she had through the last 22months.She lived her life til the last of her strength. She wouldn't have done it without the love and support of her loving husband and wonderful daughters and their families. My thoughts and prayers go out to Don,Amy,Christie and the family .God Bless.
Lindy's friendship and memories will always remain in my heart!!!Here's to you my lovely and beautiful friend!!Cheers!!!

She was so proud of her family and loved them so much. It was always at the forefront in our conversations. May you all find peace in your loving memories of her.

Don, Kristi and Amy,
Aunt Lindy was an amazing woman! Always laughing and always an adventure with her! She worked hard to make sure her family was taken care of, spoiled and loved. She will not be forgotten and you will all continue life with her in your heart. I miss you all so very much and love you dearly. You are all in my prayers as is my Aunt Lindy, and heavenly peace for her.

Lindy was such an inspiration to me and I'm sure to so many other people that had the privilege of knowing her. In all the years we knew each other, she became a very dear friend in my life. She had so much respect and love for others, that it was easy to love her in return.
My children also came to know her through me. We are all sad for your loss, and our prayers are with you.

Lindy's warm heart and love for others shines and sparkles through her beautiful blue yes. Lindy and my father have had a wonderful love affair their whole marriage. Lindy welcomed my father into every aspect of her life and her family, my father found the loving family he always wanted and desired. She gave him the gift of true love that he will have and hold forever. Thank you Lindy and I love you for loving my Dad.
