Margaret Walter Obituary

Margaret E. Walter Ovid Margaret E. Walter died peacefully on June 3, 2010, at the age of 89. She was born in St. Johns, Michigan, July 8, 1920, the daughter of Vernon and Evelyn (Bowen) Lyon. Margaret married Lawrence Walter, Sr. on June 6, 1942 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Margaret is survived by her husband, Lawrence; daughter, Nancy A. Baker; sons, Lawrence E. (Shirley) Walter, Jr. and Robert L. (Shirley) Walter; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Pamela S. Martin, grand daughter, Marci Draper, sister, Agatha (Peter) Larion and brother, Vernon (Gwen) Lyon. Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, June 7 at the Houghton Chapel of Osgood Fuenral Homes, with Pastor Elbert Dulworth officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Contributions may be made in memory of Margaret to the Autism Society 4340 East West Hwy Suite 350, Bethesda, MD 20814.
