Mark Ashdown Obituary

Mark Ashdown

Cary, NC

Mark Ashdown (1953-2015) formerly from East Lansing was welcomed into the presence of the Lord peacefully in his home after a courageous and valiant battle with multiple myeloma on March 27th.  He was full of life, never knew a stranger and loved his family deeply. He was a model father, a favorite brother-in-law and uncle and respected and loved by many friends and business associates. He was a faithful man of Christ seeking to bring His kingdom of peace and love everywhere he went. He was preceded in death by his mother Hazel.  He is survived by his father Don; brother Blake and family; loving wife of 40 years, Kristen (Kolemainen); daughter, Carolyn; son Jasen (Amanda); and granddaughter, Hazel.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Hope Community Church in Raleigh, NC at 12:30 p.m. on May 1st with a reception following.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society (lls.org).
