Mona Hubbard Obituary

Mona M. Hubbard St. Johns There shall be no more hungry birds in Heaven and the flowers will bloom in delight, for Mona Hubbard has found her place in Heaven with the risen Lord. On Good Friday, March 29, 2013, at the age of 88, Mona passed away with her family by her side. She was born January 1, 1925 in Owosso, MI the daughter of Alfred and Ethel (Jeltema) Gill. Mona was an active member of the Eureka Christian Church where she maintained the altar flowers for many years. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She married C.W. Green and later married Ronald Hubbard. Surviving are her children, Diana (Gary) VanOrsdol of St. Johns, Jerry (Sandy) Green of Elsie, Linda (Terry) Kentfield of St. Johns and Ramona (Scott) Smith of Elsie; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and one great great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald and two brothers. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns with Pastor Eric Stanton officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 2-8 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Greenbush United Methodist Church or the Eureka Cemetery Association.
