Peter De Marco Obituary

Peter Walter De Marco Truth or Consequences, New Mexico Formerly of Westphalia, Michigan Age 85, born on March 7, 1926, and passed away on October 11, 2011 surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. De Marco served in World War II in the Army Infantry, 63rd Division, 254 Regiment as a Buck Sergeant and received a Purple Heart. Peter loved to travel and he traveled around the world. His family and friends will greatly miss him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine (Leik) De Marco. Surviving are his children, Lawrence De Marco, Patricia Smith, Gerard De Marco and Christopher De Marco; sister, Lillian Olup; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Prayer Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia, with Deacon Chuck Thelen presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Westphalia. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, Westphalia. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Citizens Center in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
