Lansing
Age 79, died peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2017. Born in Coldwater, Michigan in 1937, Robert was the son of Leona (Kyser) and Edgar Sowle. He was retired from Fisher Body where he worked as a welder for 30 years. Robert was also active in the Mt. Hope A. A. Group. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret (Williams) Sowle; two daughters, Janet Skipper of Eaton Rapids and Mary Hobbs of Potterville; grandson, Brendan (Kelly) McCarty and great-granddaughter, Olivia of Pottstown, PA. A celebration will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 8, at Tony M's Restaurant, 3420 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing. Memorial contributions in Robert's honor may be sent to the Oak Park YMCA Youth Summer Camp Program, YMCA of Lansing, 900 Long Blvd., Lansing, MI 48911, ATTN: Kelly Detmers.
