We have received condolences from; Anna in Germany, Katrina in Russia, Sabrina in Switzerland. Plus Francoisa in France will lite a candle in a church in Paris for our son Danny.
These young ladies were all exchange students of our daughter Cindy and her family. Danny's life touched these girls in such away that they felt shared our pain. They also knew how much he loved the Lord God and what a loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend Danny was ! We are so blessed that Danny's loving heart could travel so far in this world and back to us! ( Proud Dad)

Heaven gained an Angel in Daniel Jasper. My heart is extremely saddened for his family. I Thank God for giving me the awesome blessing to meet and serve him and his family while in was in the hospital. After leaving the hospital, I was blessed to have kept in contact with such an amazing Faith filled Christian family and man, Daniel. His faith and love shown in and around him and his family. I am so blessed to have known such a brave courageous man and to still keep in contact with his wonderful family. Prayers for Melanie and all of his children as they carry on his Legacy in the days, months and years to come. Prayers to Melanie and His Family! I can hardly wait to go to heaven to see Daniel wearing his crown of Glory! Diana Harrison Tech @ NRH Oncology

Daniel was such an inspiration to my family and I. Even through the toughest times he continued to show his faith in God and it shined throughout the time in knowing him.we feel so blessed to have gotten to know such a courageous man. I remember when Danny was coming close to the time of losing his right arm and he said to my husband and I "I would like them to hurry and get rid of this arm, so that I can get back home and be with my family again." He was truly a disciple for our Lord and savoir and I am sure he is still continuing to be a strong Christian in heaven! Danny survived by a great family too. His children will live on his legacy. His wife is also a great example of how you should walk as a Christian and stay strong. Melanie is such a strong woman that and I feel privileged to know her and her sweet kids. love the Jasper family!

I am not sure what to say regarding Danny and our relationship. Danny and I are actually second cousins. We were much closer than most cousins are. While growing up I spent a lot of time at his parent's house or they were at our house. Our parents played canasta every weekend for years. It was more like he was a nephew than a cousin.
One year I went on vacation with Danny, his sisters, and parents. We went to North Pole, Colorado. Unfortunately, Erma (his mom) fell down and was injured and we had to go to the hospital. I remember sitting out in the car at the hospital for what seemed like hours waiting for his parents to come back. I remember telling the kids, that everything was going to be alright.
I coached Danny the first year he played T-Ball. I had played softball for numerous years, but that was my first experience of coaching. I really enjoyed the experience.
As a young adult I would have Danny and sometimes my niece, Stephine, over to spend the night at my house. I think they really enjoyed their time with “Aunt Vickie”. I know I really enjoyed time spent with them.
I remember meeting Danny's wife, Melanie, one year when I went back to Texas for a visit. I think we had an instant connection as friends. I know Danny truly loved Melanie and his children. Melanie and children, stay strong as Danny did and when times get tough, fight hard like Danny did. Just remember that you have a family that truly loves you and will be there for you if you need us.

While looking through these pictures I see and remember that Smile that would light up a room, Daniel has left such a legacy to both family and friend , Which I am proud to have been one . The Love he had for the Lord was never hid , He knew who he was in Christ and he knew who Christ was in him. Also the Love of family wow was this guy a family man . One of the last times I seen Danny was when he came to the house here in Miami telling me about his job and gave me a book to plan for such a time as this! Never did I think he would be using his so very soon. Melanie and family nothing any of us can say will fill your void, Only the comfort of our Lord and Savior can do so, May each of you be filled his presence like never before. PTL we haven't lost Danny, We know with out a doubt where he is at. Love and Blessings to each of you !

My most favorite memory of Danny is also a sad one. It was the day he had surgery to amputate his arm. His hospital room was completely full of people who had in some way or another been touched by Danny. We all surrounded his bed and began praying for Danny and the Doctors. It was a prayer that was said by many, but it was the last prayer that brought many to silent sobs and complete amazement. It was Danny thanking God for all the love in the room and putting his unwavering faith in God. Here was a man who had been battling cancer for over a year and was about to loose his arm, and yet he had not a doubt in his heart or mind that God was there and had everything in control. Danny lived everyday like this. He gave everyone including me hope. Danny loved unconditionally and gave whole heartedly to any and all. He WILL be missed, but he also reminded us that we will see him again. Second only to God was his family. He loved his family almost as much as he loved God and that shows through Melanie and his kids. They played as a family, they served as a family, they worked as a family, and they worship as a family. Danny's legacy will forever live on through his family. You were and always will be an inspiration to me and so many more Danny. I love you sweet brother!

Dear Melanie and Family.
Danny is such an inspiration to all of us. What a wonderful person, father, family man and friend. We will all dearly miss him for sure, but I am also certain that we will feel him all around us constantly. I know he is watching us and he is most of all so proud of his family and you. He loves all of you and while it was difficult for him to leave you all behind, he also knew that with the faith you have and the strength and the support from all around you, you will be fine. He now can watch over everyone of you and I am sure one day we will all meet again.

We met Daniel last year when Jenny and John Zink came down to take him four wheeling on our ranch. He was full of fun and enjoyed racing around the sand dunes and the river. He commented that we sure had "healthy" looking bulls and he was looking forward to feeling that good again some day. We truly enjoyed his positive spirit and we know he is making folks smile in heaven. We know he will be missed by many but we are all better for having known him.

I've set here a million times trying to find the words of respect that he earned but also had given. Many talked of the man an father. Those of us who grew up with Danny watch a boy with limits over come. To be successful as boy to a man an father. He was the peacemaker just like his mother always looking for better ways. Doesn't mean the fight wasn't deep with in. He gave it his all tell there was nothing left but his soul. An Jesus carried him home. Missed he will be in the flesh but the legacy an hearts he touched so many of us. Is little of Danny in each one of us. Tell we meet again my friend.

I never had the opportunity of meeting Daniel, but I did get to spend time with his three daughters through our church. I believe you can tell a lot about a father and mother by spending time with their kids. Daniel's three daughters are Christ-like servants in every sense of the word, and have huge, unselfish hearts. The Jaspers don't go to our church, but the girls have helped with our children's ministry a lot and they have impacted everyone who has come into contact with them. Daniel, you have left a beautiful legacy, and loved your savior to the end of your time on earth. Those are the two primary aims that God calls us to. "Well done good and faithful servant!"

We are so sorry to hear of Danny's passing. I will always remember his smile, and kind and gentle personality. He was such a good person and had such a big heart. Ben loved to spend time with Danny at Parent's Night Out. Danny would watch Thunder and Sooner games with him, and teach Ben about the rules of the games. Ben was always excited to see Mr. Danny. You all have done so much for so many, and have never stopped helping others - even with all of the challenges you faced. We pray that God brings you peace and comfort. The Gracey's

Danny was a hero to me growing up and even more so through his battle with Cancer. He was always so stubborn and now I see what a gift that was to him as he fought so hard for Melanie & his kids & to beat cancer. He was such an inspiration to me and one of my biggest cheerleaders. Being 2 years older than me he always included me in everything, always stood up for me and made sure the boys always gave me a chance to play in the football games :) One of my favorite memories (there are so many) of Danny was when he took me out in a car (before he had his license...heehee) and did donuts in the dirt fields not too far from his house. I was so terrified I asked him to do it again.. LOL! Funny how I would call to chat with him these last few years and thought I was going to lift his spirits and he always ended up lifting mine :) I will miss our talks but know we will have bigger things to discuss when I reach heaven too one day. If there were anything he would want his kids and wife to know, it would be that he loved you all so much that all he prayed for was strength during his battle so that he would have one more day with each of you. God Blessed him with 3 years of "one more days" and he was so proud of that! May God bless his family and their days ahead without him on this earth. Until we meet again my friend...

First and foremost, Danny was the bravest person we have ever known.
Our mom, Lorene Jasper, use to tease him about his hat was "her hat" so finally Danny gave up and would hand over his hat to her when he would walk in the door.
Also, Mom called him “Dennis the Menace” so much that he asked his parents one day, if his name was Danny or Dennis. So she finally had to stop teasing him about being “Dennis the Menace”.
He was also the best salesman too. I remember that when he was little he sold me the same rock a couple of times.
We just want his whole family to know that all of our precious relatives who have passed on before are all around him in heaven. Even though we will all miss him very much he is in good hands.

Having been in North Carolina for many years, I have very few precious memories to share. A couple of my favorites are: When Vickie and I were getting married in 1985 I asked Danny to be one of my Groomsmen. I knew from my Marine Corps day to tell him NOT to lock his knees when he was standing up during the ceremony. He locked his knees and sure enough, he passed out in the middle of the service. Danny was the first thing I saw....the next thing I saw was the blur of Charlene racing to help Danny....she moved so fast she almost caught him before he went down completely. We have the before and after photos of this scene in our wedding album.
A second memory I'd like to share is Danny spent the night with Vickie and I shortly after we were married. For breakfast the next day I cooked him my special French Toast and Boy o' boy...he could not get enough. He absolutely loved my recipe. From what I have been told he went home and told Erma about it and that is the way he likes his French Toast.
RIP my friend Danny...until we meet again!!

Melanie and kids.....your sweet husband and daddy has left this earth way too soon, but his time here on earth has touched so many. I see him in Heavan asking who he can help next. With his infectious smile and loving heart I'm sure he has already made friends with everyone as I'm not sure he ever met a stranger. I pray you will always remember how much he loved you. There wasn't a day that went by where he didn't speak of how proud he was of you all.....and he should....you kids are amazing!! He was such a kind and compassionate man who I'm fairly certain would have done anything for anyone. Your dad has left a wonderful legacy that will live on forever in your hearts. I know he wants you to live your lives to the fullest filled with many happy memories of him and to be happy. I am a better person for knowing him. I love you all...Kim Cochran

To the Jasper Family.....words cannot express how much your family has touched the lives of so many in our church through the showing of your courage, strength, tenacity and love during these challenging health times with Danny. I so enjoyed video taping Danny as a recipient of a Katie Moody Foundation gift and that has been the only time I ever saw him nervous about anything! You all are so amazing and while others are helping you, you continue to help others....I will never forget your help during the May tornado episodes last year only to find that you all were in the Moore hospital when it hit yet there you stood in our church building ready to help those that lost their homes and all that they cared for....you all are amazing and while Danny is no longer with us on earth, I know he is with our God in heaven and watching over all of you. Thank you for sharing him with your New Life family. You are in our constant thoughts and prayers. XOXOXO God will give you strength. The Fowble Family, Danna, Rick, Erica and Nick.
