Today while doing an internet search for contact info for Dave, I sadly discovered his obituary. My reason to contact him was to give thanks. I'm close to retirement and I wanted to give a thank you to Dave who had a big hand in me being successful in my own career.
In the early 1990's my employer purchased some business software from a company, Compu-Share, in Lubbock, TX. This is how I first met Dave. We spent countless hours on the phone together as I learned to use and administer this new product. I was very green in this industry and Dave was a seasoned veteran. He was always so patient and helpful. Dave's customer service skills and knowledge of his job were unmatched by anybody I've ever encountered in the Information Technology industry, and I have dealt with many such folks in the last 26 years. He was simply put, the best!!
I switched jobs in 2003 where I found myself in a role very similar to Dave's with the company I work for now. When dealing with my clients, I always had Dave's way of doing business in the back of my head as a guide and mentor. It never steered me wrong.
My most heartfelt thank you to Dave Perrin, a first class professional and person.

I haven't seen Dave in years but have many fond memories of LCH choir and "the gang" on 26th Street. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dawn and the family.

I have no doubt that God brought you and Dawn together. Elvin would be proud. God has been glorified. See you at that
great reunion.

Our thoughts are with all the Perrins.
What a wonderful friend who had the spirit of Christ glowing in him. Such a good man. He has been made complete.
