Jackie Philpott Obituary

Lubbock- Graveside services for Jackie Reeves Philpott, 86, of Lubbock, Texas, will be at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the Childress Cemetery with Dave Brummett officiating. She died on January 18, 2018, in Lubbock.

She was born on August 27, 1931 in Van Horn, Texas, to Chet L. Reeves and Thelma Davis Reeves. She married Roy Dean Philpott on March 2, 1947, in Hutchinson County, Texas. She enjoyed being outdoors helping with the horses and working in her yard. She also loved to travel with her family and friends. She was a talented artist. She was a member of Delta Theta Chi sorority serving the chapter as an officer and on committees.

Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Dean Philpott, her parents, Chet and Thelma Reeves, her brothers, C.L. and Dickie Reeves, and her sister, Francis Clark.

She is survived by her sons, John Philpott and wife Nancy, of Georgetown, Texas, and Bill Philpott and wife Ann, of Lubbock; grandchildren, Justin Philpott and wife Lindsey, Clint Philpott and wife Amelia, Seth Philpott, Delese Peterson, and Ryan Smith; great grandchildren, Anna Belle and Jack Philpott, Bentley and Royce Peterson, Caroline and Paige Philpott.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity.
