Mary Keese Obituary

Mary Gene Keese LAMESA-Funeral services for Mary Gene Keese of Lamesa will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Lamesa with Bro. Daniel Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home of Lamesa. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Mary passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012, in Corinth. She was born in Breckenridge to Roy and Margaret Martin. She married Charles Keese on Dec. 23, 1954, in Breckenridge. Mary was a teacher for Brownfield ISD for nine years and for Lamesa ISD for 18 years. Mary is survived by her husband, Charles M. Keese; a son, Rex and wife Gabe Keese; a daughter, Karla Keese; three grandchildren, Erika Keese Neill, Stefanie Keese and Cameron Keese; and her sister, Gwen and husband Tom Hawley. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Louise Crumm, Elizabeth Colby, Bob Martin, Roy Martin Jr., Sally Sandel, Waunice Martin and Rex Martin. The family suggests memorials be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, 8330 Ward Parkway, Suite 510, Kansas City, MO 64114-2000; the United Methodist Church Youth Group by visiting www.umc.org; or to the Dawson County Public Library, 511 N 3rd St., Lamesa, TX 79331.
