Michael Wilson Obituary

Michael Scott Wilson LUBBOCK-Michael Scott Wilson, 52, passed from this life Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, surrounded by the love of those who were around him. He was born Sunday, Nov. 8, 1959, to Ronald Lee and Avis Darlene (Cornell) Wilson, in Axtell, Kan. Mike was a motorcycle enthusiast who looked forward to trips with his wife, family and friends. He enjoyed spending weekends hunting and fishing with his grandson. Mike was a devoted, caring and loving husband, father and grandfather, and was a friend to all. Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Becky of Shallowater; a daughter, Amber (Richard) Woodcock; a grandson, Peyton Wilson, all of Lubbock; and his parents, Ron Wilson of Wichita, Kan., and Darlene Spaugh of Warsaw, Mo. Mike is also remembered by many loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who all played very important roles in his life. A memorial service to celebrate Mike's 52 years of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Quaker Avenue Church of Christ, Lubbock. Flowers for the memorial service will be received Friday morning, prior to the scheduled service, at Quaker Ave. Church of Christ, Lubbock, or the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choosing.

Becky, Amber, Peyton, Ron, and all of Mike's family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was a sweet & kind man who was happily devoted to his family. We are so sorry for yall. Mike was such a good guy. We never saw him get mad or say anything ugly about anyone. He was so even-tempered and easy going. He loved his family so much and was always good to everyone. He was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him. We are praying for you Becky, Amber & Peyton. Asking God to give you the strength to endure such heartache and pain. We love yall so much and we're grieving with you and are so sad for you.

Mike was truly one of the best men we have ever known.He had such a gentle and guiet spirit. He would do anything for anyone at anytime.He never talked bad about anyone,and we never heard any thing bad about him.We love and miss him so very much.Our hearts are breaking for Becky,Amber,Peyton and all of Mike's family.GOD bless and keep you all
