Timothy Hope Obituary

Timothy Mark Hope BROWNFIELD- A memorial service for Timothy Mark Hope, 43, formerly of Brownfield, Texas will be held at 3 p.m. Monday afternoon, January 14, 2013 at Brownfield First Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Payne and Dr. Carl Moman officiating. Timmy died on Monday, January 7, 2013 in California, and a military memorial service will be held on the Marine Corps Base at Twentynine Palms, Calif. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif. Timmy was born September 2, 1969, and grew up in Brownfield, where he graduated from high school. He then joined the US Marine Corps, where he served for twenty years and from which he honorably retired in 2009. He served two tours of duty in Iraq. During this time, he received the Navy Commendation Medal, which is awarded to members serving with the Navy or Marine Corps, who distinguish themselves by heroic action, outstanding achievement, or meritorious service. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Feeney Hope, and four sons, Trevor Michael, Kyle James, Jace Andrew, and Brett Thomas, all of Twentynine Palms. He is also survived by his parents, Dr. Sherman and Ann Hope, and his twin brother, James Andrew Hope, all of Brownfield. Other siblings are Mary Ruth Keller of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Allen Hope of Riverside, Calif., Judy Whisenant and Sue Ann Kimberling of Levelland, Texas, and Dr. Richard Hope of Lubbock, Texas. Other survivors include Danny and Linda Doyle of Ft. Worth, Texas and Ronny and Helen Hall of Sunset, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to Buckner International, 600 North Pearl Street, Suite 2000, Dallas, Texas 75201. This is the agency through which Timmy and his identical twin brother, Jimmy, were adopted as newborns.
