Troi Nelson Obituary

Troi Duriel Nelson LUBBOCK- Troi Duriel Nelson, 36, of Lubbock passed away on June 10, 2013. Troi was born on Dec. 21, 1976 to the parentage of Willie and Laverne Nelson in Waco, Texas. Troi attended school in Texas and California where he graduated high school. Troi also attended American Commercial College and received an associate's degree in Computer Technology. Troi was employed at the Lubbock State School. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. His favorite scripture was The Beatitudes, Matthew 5:12, Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Troi was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mabel Lauterdale; his great-aunt, Ruby Lang; uncle, George Hall; and cousin, Hayward Smith. He leaves to cherish his memories his father, Willie J. Nelson (Connie); his mother, Laverne Nelson-Clark; grandparents, Ruby Nelson and Rose Hall; his daughter, Ebony Nelson; his son, Amihr Nelson; sisters, Brittany Richard, Kenya Nelson, Ruby Nelson and Vanessa Bass; brothers, Marcus Nelson and David Wright; aunts, Janet Nelson, Victoria Nelson, Lela Hall (confidant) and Marilyn Hall; uncles, David Nelson, Michael Nelson and Bobby Hall; nephews, Adyn Carol, Landon Ramos, and Javon D. Clark; a niece, Ilyce Rowe; and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Griffin Mortuary and Chapel. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.

I thought that you wouldnt leave so soon I remember the first time we met and we kicked off good I would do anything for you. You keep me laughing. I will truly truly miss you RIP Never Forgotten

Troi even though I didn't know you long I knew you well enough to find out how great of a friend and father you were, it's hard for me to tell you good bye and I wouldn't have thought it would be this soon but I know God has you in his arms and now I have a special angel watching over me I love you and will miss you dearly
