William Copeland Obituary

William J. Copeland LUBBOCK-William Jasper Copeland, 71, of Lubbock died Saturday, March 26, 2016. He was born in Abilene, Texas, on Oct. 10, 1944, to Lonnie Clarence and Marie (Mackey) Copeland. He attended school in Abilene and Hawley. He worked as a service station attendant and also did mechanic work. William J. Copeland married Anna B. Fitzpatrick on May 4, 1964. They made their first home at Hawley and then moved to Rowlett for a while. They then moved to Lubbock and made Lubbock their permanent home. He worked as a drywall installer doing work in industrial construction. Due to health concerns he had to retire. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Steven Copeland on Feb. 12, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Anna B. Copeland of Lubbock; three sons: William Albert Copeland of Georgia, Richard Donald Copeland and wife, Katie of Lubbock and Michael Wayne Copeland and wife, Iris of Post; one daughter, Debbie Sanborn and husband, Dan of Arkansas; one daughter-in-law, Bobbie Joe Copeland; two brothers: Jimmy Schlee and Ricky Martin, both of Tyler; three sisters: Linda Malpica, Wanda Wilcoxen and Barber Dale Maten; grandchildren: Timathy Joe Copeland, Kyle S. Copeland, Troy Copeland, Levi Copeland, Dakota Copeland, Travis Copeland; and great-grandchildren: Landon Copeland, Cameron Copeland, Haylee Copeland, Taylor Jade Copeland, Michael Daniel Copeland, Jase Davis Copeland, and Addelyn Copeland. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Graham Chapel Church of Christ at 15th and Avenue S, Post. Officiator will be Robert Wilson. Arrangements are under the personal care of Dee and Janet Justice, Justice-Mason Funeral Home.
