Ally Cooley Obituary

Ally Marie Cooley, 19, was born June 10, 1998 in Henderson, Nevada. She passed away on November 4, 2017. Ally was a sophomore at UNLV, after graduating with high honors from CSN High School. She was an active member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority at UNLV and worked for the City of Henderson. Ally was kind and compassionate, with a beautiful soul. She was thoughtful and loved deeply, but was also dorky and liked to goof around. Ally had a fun-loving spirit and quickly connected with people, which made it easy for people to love her. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Ally is survived by her parents, David and Lynnette Cooley, grandparents Chrys Cooley, Alice Wilcutt, Bob and Suzy Guymon, and Jack and Shirley Johnson, sister Alissa Cooley and brother David (Davey) Cooley, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her Papa Joe LePire and brother Chrystopher Cooley.

Ally's memorial service will be held at Community Lutheran Church at 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. with a reception to follow immediately thereafter at the church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Ronald McDonald House through the UNLV chapter of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

Nettie, David and family. When we are blessed with our children from above we fall so deeply in love with them that we forget they are only on loan to us from our God. You did such a wonderful job teaching Ally and she, in turn did a fabulous job teaching you both about unconditional love. If we knew how long we were able to keep our children when we were blessed with them, I am sure we couldn't bare the knowing of that. For all the days and years your angel was with you we are grateful. And now she is at the right hand of our Lord and you will see, as time goes by, that she will continue to bless you from above. This I know.
All our love to you. Susan and Ray

Ally, it's such a blessing to have known you. You were always so kind and funny in any situation. I'll never forget the memories we made working together and the terrible kids we had to deal with sometimes. Gosh I remember it was your second day as a site lead and I had to run and get you because one of our kids was having a tantrum and throwing things but, you were so calm towards him even though he still didn't listen and dumped water everywhere!I had to run and get more help because we had no idea what to do and you just looked at me and we both shook our heads in slight anger. I wish we could look back and laugh together at that now. Even though we can't I think the memory is what counts. I'll miss you ally, I hope you're okay and I hope you're resting in peace.

Ally was a pure ray of sunshine! I worked in the nursery at CLC when she was about 10 or 11; she would come in to play with the babies and toddlers-she just had a natural passion for being around little ones. As she got older, I was fortunate to be able to spend time with her as a youth leader. She was such an amazing example of a friend! She always made sure to include everyone and make each person feel like they belonged. My heart goes out to Nettie, David and the rest of the Cooley family.
