The nicest boss that I have ever worked for. It was so sad to hear of his passing. I will surely miss his Christmas cards. He was one of the nicest men that I have ever met.

I knew Andy from working in the central office of the school district before I retired in 1998. He always had a smile and a was one of my favorite people. His smile made the rest of the world smile with him. He'll do that in heaven as well. May he RIP. Carol Gotheim

I only new Mr. Martinez as "Andy." He went to the Borders/Seattle's Best Coffee in Henderson, and I'd see him there first thing every morning. I'd be doing work, he'd be buried in a book. He was always friendly, funny and just a super nice guy. It looks like he touched many lives in his work. But even in retirement, he was a bright presence. Rest in peace, Andy.

I am so sorry for your loss. Andy was the ESL teacher and I was a second grade teacher at Sunrise Acres. We were across the lawn from each other and shared some good times there. He will be missed.

Dr Martinez hired me 16 years ago. I will never forget his cheery voice calling me at 6 am, asking if I wanted to teach first grade at Ann T. Lynch ES. I will always appreciate his willingness to take a risk on me as a new teacher.

I love Dr. M. He hired me over the phone to come and teach at Lynch ES as a new teacher. I loved his mustache and suspenders and how he would go out to recess and play with the students in his Redskins baseball cap. He was a wonderful mentor for me as an educator and I am grateful for the opportunity I had to work with him for the first five years of my teaching career. He touched so many lives for the better, including mine.

You were amazing person. Always a smile and laugh. No one could ever wear suspenders the way you did. Thank you for giving me a chance 23 years ago to become an educator. Heaven is a better place.
