Andrew Soares Obituary

ANDREW SOARES Andrew Charles Soares, 72, of Henderson, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009, with his family and loved ones by his side, fulfilling a life complete with love, laughter, compassion and honesty. Andy was born Feb. 17, 1937, in Oakland, Calif. In Andy's pivotal career milestones, he adhered to a few simple, yet practical philosophies that always served him well – honesty, integrity, loyalty, hard work and dependability. He always offered a genuine smile to all who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him. Those attributes have been passed on and embraced by his three sons, Rick, Steven and Cary Soares. Along with their mother, Marian, they hold the family legacy instilling all lessons and guiding principles into the four surviving grandchildren, Taylor, Zachary, Alexandra and Joshua Soares; and grandpup, Elvis. Andy always impressed me as a very fun, caring and 'live life full' type of guy. We went on hunting trips, deep sea fishing trips, golfing trips as well as basketball and football games.

He cared for his family a great deal as he told me this frequently. He was very proud of his sons.

I don't think I ever recall meeting anyone who didn't like Andy. He was so easy going and likeable. I feel bad that I lost touch over recent years especially considering how close we were for years. He is in a much better place now where the greens are always soft and true! Take care Andy.

This will be the brightest light that has now been passed on to heaven! Andy was a the most unassuming and kind man/father/father-in-law and friend! Those who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him have all been affected and impacted by his open, generous and kind heart!

He will be (and IS) missed, yet we have ALL gained an angel in heaven and beyond!
